Alison McBryde has faced the corrupt strong-arm tactics of the Tobacco Industry, stared down the murderous eyes of drug kingpin Carlito Brigante and helped guide the hopeless lives of reputed gang members and troubled inner-city youth. Now in her 16th year in casting, Alison built a distinguished laundry list as the Casting Associate on Film and Television projects that included Nicholas Nickleby, Pearl Harbor, Heat, Armageddon, as well as The Insider, Carlito's Way and Dangerous Minds, to which reference was made in the opening paragraph. That list continues to grow with each project she takes on as Casting Director. Alison reached an exciting turning point in her career, as the New York Casting Director on Michael Mann's Ali in 2001. She went on to the independent feature Nola with Lina Todd and her first television series, Robbery Homicide Division, starring Tom Sizemore and Shabaka Henley in 2002. Since then, Alison has continued work on studio films while pursuing her love of independent feature filmmaking as both a Casting Director and Producer. Recently, she has had the privilege of working with up and coming Directors including Bruno Coppola on The Dot Man and Il Lim on Acts of Violence. She is currently in development on a romantic comedy, The Living Room, with Producer Bruce Long.
